The first day was all about understanding the flow of the event. As a run photographer, I’m used to races with a single start and one main finish, but SuperTri is different: multiple races, waves, and segments, all layered inside a tight schedule.



I quickly learned that the key to photographing SuperTri is to learn the course and get ahead; it’s anticipating what comes next. The more I watched the pattern of starts, lap turns, and finishes, the more confident I became in choosing where to stand and when to move.
