Photographing Hot Laps by On in Toronto was a reminder that a great race event can bring out an incredible amount of creative talent. With so many skilled photographers around the course, the goal was not to compete for the exact same frame—it was to find my own perspective on the speed, atmosphere, and people behind the event.
The presence of other great photographers did not take away from the experience. Instead, it helped capture more participants and offered a wider variety of images for every runner to enjoy.
