As a run photographer, there’s nothing more exhilarating than capturing the energy, determination, and joy of runners at events like the Toronto Marathon. This year, I had the incredible opportunity to partner with Culture Athletics and the Cheer Station to document the heart and soul of this iconic race.
From the early morning light hitting the starting line to the triumphant smiles at the finish, every moment told a story. The Cheer Station, powered by the vibrant team at Culture Athletics, was a highlight of the day. Their infectious energy and creative signs brought smiles to runners’ faces and added a unique layer of excitement to the event. As a photographer, it was a joy to capture the connection between the cheering squad and the runners—each high-five, cheer, and laugh was a moment worth preserving.
For me, the Toronto Marathon isn’t just about the runners; it’s about the community that comes together to make the event unforgettable. Whether it’s the determination in a runner’s eyes, the camaraderie among participants, or the unwavering support of the cheer squads, these are the moments I live to capture.
To everyone who ran, cheered, or volunteered—thank you for letting me tell your story through my lens. And to Culture Athletics, thank you for bringing so much heart to the Cheer Station. Until next year, keep running, keep cheering, and keep inspiring!
